The Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan Institute of Sustainable Halophyte
Utilization (ISHU), named after its
founder Director,
was established in 2006 to serve humanity through a better
understanding of salt-tolerant plants (halophytes) and their
sustainable use for food, medicine, fodder, forage, biofuel
and climate change mitigation.
