The Institute of Sustainable Halophyte Utilization (ISHU) plans to celebrate the International Day on Biodiversity [http://www.cbd.int/idb/2013/]on May 22, 2013 under
the auspices of UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Halophyte Utilization, University of Karachi.
The United Nations Environment Program theme for 2013 is "Water and Biodiversity". ISHU faculty will provide voluntary advice/information to anyone interested in the wetland conservation and management and the sustainable utilization of brackish / saline water towards the conventional and non-conventional agriculture in arid/semi-arid areas.
